Overview

Founded in 2018, Tributary Investments is a private investment company that trades the firm's own capital across equities, options, and futures — no outside money, no client accounts, no product to sell.

The name is the thesis: a tributary is the stream that feeds the river. The discipline earned trading — risk management, verified data, systems over improvisation, respect for what the market actually says versus what you'd like it to say — is the discipline that runs every other business Black Cat Holdings owns.

What it does

• Proprietary trading. Active trading across equities, options, and futures markets, executed under a written trading plan that is reviewed and revised annually.
• Long-term investment. Patient positions held alongside the active book, sized to compound over years.
• Capital for the portfolio. Tributary's discipline — and its results — helped seed and sustain the rest of the family.

Relationship to the portfolio

Tributary's daily proximity to the funded-trader industry is what created Compare Prop Firms: the comparison platform grew out of firsthand experience evaluating proprietary trading firms as a trader, not as a marketer.

Tributary Investments trades its own capital. It does not manage outside money, offer investment advice, or provide financial services to the public.
